QMobile Energy X1 OR X2 Which One Should You Get??

QMobile is Pakistan’s largest Mobile Phone manufacturer. Over the course of a decade, it has fabricated a number Smartphones with their own set of highs and lows and within reasonable price brackets. It’s obvious that you will ‘not’ get the same experience as iPhone 7 or Samsung S8, but compromises have to be made when considering a budget phone. QMobile recently launched its Energy series staging QMobile Energy X1 and QMobile Energy X2. Undoubtedly they will provide an amazing user experience, reckoning their price.

Our main focus will be to render the basic information about both the handsets and conclude which one is more preferable.

1) Design and Display:

Both of the Smartphones have almost everything in common in terms of their design. Both have a Candybar Touchscreen and weigh 184 g, they are also shipped in the same color variants Grey, Silver, and Golden. However they vary slightly in dimensions, X1 carrying 143.2 x 72.1 x 9.3 mm and X2 precisely 142.3 x 71.4 x 9.2 mm. On the front side, you can see that both the handsets accommodate a significant amount of bezels, especially on the top and bottom. A front camera and earpiece lie on the top bezel whereas capacitive navigation buttons lie below the display.
The back side features a clean design; You get the rear camera and LED flash on the top edge with a Q logo slightly above the center. At the bottom sit the speakers. On the top edge is the microUSB port and an audio jack, the SIM card, and memory card have ports engraved inside the removable back body. The right edge contains the Volume and Power button. Both X1 and X2 have a 5.0-inch display and it sounds like they will provide a better viewing experience as compared to other Pakistani brands.

2) Storage:

QMobile X1 packs 1 GB of RAM with 8 GB of built in storage whereas X2 comprises of 2 GB RAM with 16 GB of internal storage. That’s not nearly as equivalent to modern flagships but this mediocre will work out fine for an average user. It comes with an advantage of expandable storage via SD card up to 64 GB. Well, that rounds up to a decent amount of storage, so no problem if you love downloading videos and songs.

3) Performance:

QMobile X1 and X2 incorporate the 32 bit 1.3 GHz Quad-Core processor along with a Media Tek MT6580M chipset. This enhances the overall speed of the Smartphone and makes multi-tabbed browsing and multitasking more effective. A slight issue is that in this era most users are into heavy duty gaming with intense graphics and many of us have built a habit of engaging in a lot of apps out there. So we just cant deny that these particular handsets will not be able to meet those standards.

4) Battery:

One of the best features about these Smartphones is there magnificent Li-ion battery5000 mAh. That’s a huge number and no doubt that it performs just as well. QMobile proudly stated that it will deliver a standby time of about 30 days with a talk time of 72 hours, but it’s obvious the battery will drain out faster while incorporating other tasks as well like 3G or video playback. It was tested that with average usage the battery can be extended up to 2 days and vaguely more. However, we do not get the quick charging feature and using the standard method it takes up to 2 hours to fully charge.

5) Camera:

Energy X1 comprises a 5 Megapixels rear camera and X2 houses an 8 Megapixels cam with LED flash on both. The shots taken have a decent amount of brightness and the colors are also quite fascinating. The rear cameras come with modes including HDRFace beautypanoramaprofessional and night mode. QMobile X1 and X2 both accommodate 5 Megapixels front cameras, they have pretty much the same picture quality. They also come with a number of modes including HDR and face beauty which you can use to beautify your selfies.

Verdict:

As you can comprehend there isn’t much difference between QMobile Energy X1 and Energy X2. They feature the same design and display with similar software and hardware and deliver approximately the same performance. X2, on the other hand, has some more memory boost with its 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage along with 64 GB available via SD card. It also got more pixels in its main camera, which is somewhat helpful for taking shots in night time as compared to X1. Other than that sadly there is no reason to prefer one over the other.
